Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Karaulbazar district of Bukhara region, head of the ecology department Mirali Khodzhaev was injured while on duty.

The inspector was wounded while trying to stop illegal hunting in Karaulbazar region. However, the poacher, having wounded the inspector in the arm, fled the scene.

The inspector received emergency medical assistance. At the moment, his condition is assessed as good. Measures are being taken to catch the poacher. For information, earlier in the line of duty, the head of the Bekabad city department of the Department of Ecology of the Tashkent region, inspector Muhammadjon Fozilov, was stabbed.

The press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported about the arrest of poachers who shot at an environmental inspector in Karaulbazar district of Bukhara region. They seized 2 hunting rifles with the participation of witnesses. A forensic medical examination was appointed.

The prosecutor’s office is investigating the situation.
