Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Octobank’s net profit for the first quarter of 2024 made up 21.8 billion soums, which increases by 4969.1% compared to the same period in 2023.
A year earlier, the bank finished the first quarter with a net loss of 447.7 million soums.
According to the bank’s report, interest income for the year increased by 177.6% to 40.4 billion soums, and non-interest income by 267.6% to 250 billion soums.
The bank’s assets increased to 2.8 trillion soums, an increase of 223.2% during the reporting period. The bank also increased its capital by 288% to 501.1 billion soums.
The bank’s loan portfolio as of 1 April 2024 amounted to 144 billion soums (in the same period in 2023 - 309 billion soums). The share of problem loans (NPL) remained at 76.6%, while their volume decreased from 236 billion to 111 billion soums.
