Number of registered legal persons in Uzbekistan makes up 510,800
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of July 1, 2010, the number of registered legal persons was 510,800 units, of which 476,000 of them (93.2% of total registered enterprises) were operating, according to the data of the Uniform State Business Register.

Largest number of enterprises and institutions was registered in trade and catering (27.1% of total registered enterprises), agriculture (20.6%, excluding private farms), industry (12.2%) and construction (8%).

In the total number of registered enterprises, the share of enterprises with non-state form of ownership was 92.4% of which 52.1% - private and dekhkan farms, 21.4% - private enterprises, 0.9% - enterprises with participation of foreign capital, 0.2% - joint-stock companies, 17.8% – other enterprises.

The number of newly registered enterprises and institutions was 27,200 in January-June 2010. Their significant number was marked in Tashkent city (15.8% of total registered enterprises in Uzbekistan), Ferghana region (10.2%), Kashkadarya region (8.7%), and Tashkent region (8%) and Samarkand region (7.6%).

In the sectoral structure of newly created enterprises, 27.9% of all new enterprises were created in trade and catering, 23.2% - agriculture and 17.1% - industry.

In the reporting period, about 15,200 enterprises and institutions were liquidated in Uzbekistan. Out of them more than 2,000 was liquidated voluntarily.

In the sectoral structure of liquidated enterprises 51.1% fell to share of agriculture, 22.1% – trade and catering, and 8.8% – industry.
