As reported earlier, number of Internet users in Uzbekistan made up 8.8 million in 2011. The growth rate in 2012 made up 11.54%.

As of 1 January 2013, number of business entities, which render data transfer, including internet services, reached 930 and internet cafes – 1,063.

Total speed of access to international information networks grew by 61% in 2012 and made up 7780 Mbps.

The set tariffs for ISPs for international internet bandwidth decreased in average by 25% in last year to US$422, the committee said.
