According to the ministry, the growth of number of users made up 35.2% year-on-year.

In the first half of 2015, number of fixed broadband internet users in Uzbekistan reached 426,000 users, and rose by 21% year-on-year, the ministry said.

The ministry stated that further development of broadband internet, including fixed and mobile, is one of key tasks for new future.

According to the report of J’son & Partners Consulting “Research of market and auditory of internet in Uzbekistan, number of mobile broadband users in Uzbekistan exceeded 10 million users at the end of 2014, growing by 3% year-on-year.
