Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From May to December 2024, the number of electric vehicle charging stations in Uzbekistan nearly doubled, reaching 1,085 units. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
Since the beginning of the year, around 500 new charging stations have been opened, with 60% of them located in Tashkent.
According to the ministry, the number of users of charging stations has reached 90,000.
The highest concentration of charging stations is in Tashkent region, with 120 stations, followed by Namangan, Samarkand, and Ferghana regions, each with 61 stations.
Tashkent continues to lead in the number of charging stations, accounting for more than half of the total in the country.
Meanwhile, the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan has the fewest electric charging stations, with only 9 stations registered throughout the entire period.
