Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- To ensure the success of our athletes in the international arena, it is important to establish cooperation with countries that have great potential in the field of sports. In this regard, China is one of the largest sports powers, in addition, its athletes occupy leading positions in both the Winter and Summer Olympics.

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the National Olympic Committees of Uzbekistan and China. The event was held online. “I am very glad that despite the difficult period, we are able to continue bilateral cooperation between our countries. We are further strengthening the established friendly ties between our countries in the field of sports. It should be noted that Uzbekistan is also making great strides in the sports field. You have a very strong football team. We hope that our cooperation will continue at a high level. “A few days ago, we held an international online weightlifting competition dedicated to the Independence Day of our country, and the Chinese athletes have achieved success, on which I sincerely congratulate you. Today is an important day for us. We are establishing cooperation with such a great power in the field of sports as China. As you noted, under the leadership of President Shavkat Miromonovich, large reforms are being carried out in our country to develop sports. In particular, one of the 5 key initiatives is aimed at the development of physical culture and mass sports. We will continue to develop in any global environment,” said Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov.

Further, a memorandum on bilateral cooperation was signed. According to the memorandum, it is planned to establish consistent cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of sports medicine and methodology, as well as organize joint training camps of our teams in several sports.
