Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Currently, the Uzbekistan Weightlifting Championship among adults and juniors is being held in Chirchik.

It should be noted that the President of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov arrived in Chirchik and watched the competition, and also exchanged opinions with representatives of the Federation and gave his recommendations.

During the conversation, the head of the NOC wished good luck to the athletes at the national championship. He mentioned that they need to work on themselves and not stop at the same time, and that the main goal is to raise the flag of Uzbekistan high at the Olympic Games.

It should be noted that thanks to the organized national championship, the coaches were able to assess the athletes’ capabilities not only for the Tokyo Olympics, but also to consider candidates for participation in major complex competitions for the next four years: the Hangjou Asian Games-2022 and the Paris-2024 Olympic Games.

It is noteworthy that among the athletes Sarvarbek Zafarjonov, Murod Namozov and Jamila Panfilova distinguished themselves with their good indicators. The coaches and representatives of the Weightlifting Federation of Uzbekistan noted that if these athletes continue to work on themselves and try, then they will be able to adequately defend the honor of Uzbekistan in Paris-2024.
