Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By the decree of the President of Uzbekistan, Nodirbek Abdusattorov was awarded the state prize "Mard O’g’lon".
The corresponding medal was solemnly presented by the adviser to the President Abdujabbor Abduvakhidov. The champion was also presented with the keys to a two-room apartment and 250 million soums.
In addition, chess players Javokhir Sindorov, Jahongir Vakhidov and Shamsiddin Vakhidov, who also performed successfully at the World Championship, received a monetary reward of 50 million soums. Cash prizes in the amount of 100 million soums were also awarded to the coaches of Nodirbek Abdusattorov.
17-year-old Nodirbek Abdusattorov became the youngest grandmaster in the world who, in the Rapid program, defeated such world chess masters as Magnus Carlsen, Ian Nepomniachtchi and won the champion title in this direction. Also, 3 more of our representatives took part in this tournament, who were recognized as the strongest.
