NGMK receives uranium from new wells
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Ore Department No. 5 of Navoi Mining and Metallurgy Combine (NGMK) drilled technological wells at Kahnur and second area of Shimoloy Kanimeh fields and received the first tonnes of uranium.
Ore Department No. 5 is located in territory of Bukhara region. The main direction of the department is mining of uranium with underground leaching.
NGMK said on its website that the department fulfilled plan on uranium production with 0.1% surplus. The department successfully carried out works on associated production of rhenium.
In order to implement presidential resolution “On investment programme of Uzbekistan for 2010”, the department carried out works on processing complexes. The department used 4.161 billion soums.
