New tourism opportunities to be created in Tashkent city
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About US$140.7 million will be attracted to implementation of the programme of targeted measures on developing tourism and increasing export potential of tourism services in Tashkent city for 2011-2012, which was approved by the Uzbek Government.

Within the programme, it is planned to carry out measures on increasing attractiveness of historic-cultural objects, including create new tourism routes to architecture monuments. It is also planned to construct and reconstruct hotels, develop tourism infrastructure and others.

So, US$660,000 will be directed to modernization of Tashkent television tower. The tower, equipped with illumination lights, will be attractive sight for tourists.

According to programme, infrastructure of such madrasahs as Kukaldash, Abulkosim Eshon, Ohunguzar, Muyi Muborak, ancient settlement Ming Urik, complexes Yunushona, Shayh Hovandi Tohu, Qaldirgochbiy and other objects. At the same time, it is planned to offer tourists to visit historic sights Shoshtepa, Aktepa, Kollakhona and Gulbozar mosques.

Four new hotels will be offered to tourists with 500 rooms. It is planned to reconstruct Chorsu Hotel and build tennis court at Hotel Dedeman Silk Road Tashkent.

Three new rehabilitation complexes and trade-recreation complex, over 100 information kiosks, where tourists can buy maps and guides, will be created in Tashkent.
