New system of assessment of ICT at state bodies approved
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government f Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on introduction of the system of assessment of current development of information-communication technologies in Uzbekistan” on 31 December 2013.

The resolution approved structure of rating assessment of state of introduction of the ICT in state organizations, scheme of holding rating assessment, as well as new requirements to official websites of the state bodies and administration, state authorities in places.

Approved system of rating assessment on introduction of the ICT sets new, more tough requirements to official websites, providing state interactive services, information systems and requirements, information security, the press service of the State Committee for Communication, Information and Telecommunication Technologies of Uzbekistan said.

In particular, the main elements of the assessment of the ICT introduction includes existence and operation of the websites, compliance of official websites to requirements of legislation, quality of interactive state services, consideration of applications of individuals and legal entities, received via the Single portal of interactive state services.

The state bodies and administration, as well as local administration, were entrusted to ensure compliance of their official website to new requirements by 1 March 2014.

New requirements envisage creation of section on interactive state services and publication of list of rendered state services.

The state bodies should also create mobile versions of their websites, introduce additional convenience for people with the disabilities, as well as tools to study public opinion through online polls, blogs and forums.

There are separate requirements on functionality of the websites to some state bodies, such as the local administrations, state administration bodies, etc.

The adoption of this decision is directed at improving openness of the state bodies, create additional convenient services to individuals and businesses, etc.
