Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new "Silk Road" train tour, covering the route Almaty – Turkestan – Tashkent – Almaty, will launch in Kazakhstan, with its first trip scheduled for 16 November 2024.
This four-day tour offers travelers a unique opportunity to visit historical cities and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Great Silk Road, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
The route includes the main attractions in Turkestan and Tashkent.
The tour package includes services such as a guide, meals, transportation, and entrance fees, ensuring maximum comfort for participants.
Kazakhstan's Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports, Yerzhan Erkinbayev, stated that "this joint project with Uzbekistan will be an important step in the development of tourism and strengthening cultural ties between our countries."
Tour participants will have the chance to visit the ancient city of Otrar, which played a key role in the trade relations of Central Asia, see the Mausoleum of Arystan-baba, the historical and cultural reserve-museum "Azret Sultan," and the largest tourist complex "Karavan-Saray." In Tashkent, tourists will experience both historical landmarks and the modern life of the city.
The project is being implemented through the collaboration of companies such as JSC "Passenger Transport," "TauKomek Travel," "Turan Kazakhstan Travel," "Grand Soluxe Travel Company," "SkyWay Travel," "Kompas," and "Khan Turan Travel." The route's international promotion will be managed by JSC "NC Kazakh Tourism."
