Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Chairman of the Association of Business People of Uzbekistan and Turkey (UTID) Davut Azmi Erbaş and representatives of ECC Environmental Ltd Cenk Seran and Matthew Martin, dedicated to the prospects for attracting the company to the implementation of investment projects in Uzbekistan.

UTID Chairman Davut Azmi Erbaş expressed the readiness of Turkish business to develop bilateral cooperation and intensify interaction in the investment, trade and economic spheres. The interest of ECC Environmental Ltd in establishing partnerships in the implementation of a number of projects in the areas of construction, energy and infrastructure development was also noted.

It was noted that the company specializes in such areas as managing the design and construction of specialized civil infrastructure, residential and mixed-use projects, commercial and industrial facilities, hospitals, water supply and sanitation systems, and energy infrastructure. The company has been operating for more than 37 years, and to date has completed the installation of equipment in 38 countries around the world. The total current contract potential of the company exceeds US$22 billion, and the reserve portfolio of projects is US$1.2 billion.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness for interaction within the discussed areas of cooperation and agreed on the organization of a visit by the company’s management to Uzbekistan to further discuss projects with the relevant ministries and departments by the end of this year.
