New projects to be established in the interaction between the parliaments of Uzbekistan and South Korea

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva received the delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, the parties noted that at the moment, relations between the parliaments of the two countries have reached a new level, relations based on close friendly ties of the similarity of mentality, traditions and values of our peoples have reached the level of strategic partnership.

Attention was also drawn to the fact that trade and investment indicators are growing steadily; about a thousand enterprises with the participation of Korean capital operate in our country. In order to improve these indicators in this regard, an exchange of views took place regarding the expansion of joint projects.

Based on the experience of Korea, with the support of the International Cooperation Agency “KOICA”, the progress of implementation in Uzbekistan of a grant project for the implementation of the “Electronic Parliament” system was discussed.

Proposals have also been put forward to strengthen direct ties between the recently elected committees of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and the committees of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.

Taking into account the rich experience of South Korea, it was emphasized that it is necessary to encourage cooperation to ensure the employment of women, first of all, involving them in entrepreneurship, and increasing the potential of business management.

An exchange of views also took place at the parliamentary level on the issue of creating favorable conditions for labor migrants of Uzbekistan in Korea.

During the conversation, an agreement was reached on the launch of new joint projects between the two countries in the areas of education, healthcare and anti-corruption.
