New passenger buses used in Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- About 200 new locally-produced passenger buses of the Isuzu brand have been put into use in the streets of Samarkand, UzA reported.

The buses, purchased on a leasing basis by Samarkand passenger transportation company from UzAvtoSanoatLeasing, are used on 23 city routes.

“Until recently, the passengers of these routes were served mostly by microbuses,” Iskandar Shodiyev of one of Samarkand’s bus parks said.

More than 300 people received jobs with the launch of the new buses in the city.
