New opportunities for the development of production and industrial cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 April, the opening ceremony and the main plenary session of the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM. Central Asia". 

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, heads of delegations from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, heads of regional administrations, heads of large companies and financial institutions of the countries participating in the exhibition.

Opening the event, the heads of delegations read out the appeals of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the President of the Russian Federation to the participants of the event.

In the address of the Head of our state, it was emphasized that the exhibition is a good platform for establishing deep economic ties between countries. Important projects are being implemented in the fields of energy, infrastructure, industry and agriculture. Uzbekistan is also resolutely promoting regional projects aimed at strengthening transport and communication links with Central Asia in order to create effective trade logistics chains and form optimal routes for delivering goods to the international market. This forum will launch new large-scale projects of mutually beneficial cooperation, will contribute to the expansion of interregional cooperation, increase the competitiveness of national economies and increase prosperity.

The address of the President of the Russian Federation was read out by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov. The rich natural resources, colossal human potential, as well as the high dynamics of regional processes and economic cooperation in Central Asia are noted.

During the plenary session, a question-and-answer session was held, during which the speakers noted the priority measures taken to ensure the accelerated economic growth of Uzbekistan, including the reorientation and updating of training programs, the development of a knowledge-intensive economy, the modernization of existing enterprises to improve human capital and ensure technological renewal and digitalization.

A set of measures was carried out as part of the development of competition and a competitive market was announced. In particular, a new privatization program is being implemented, the list of instruments of financial and non-financial support for manufacturers and exporters is being expanded, the Industrial Development Fund is being created, the benefits of the standard investment proposal package are being expanded, and new jobs are being created.

The speakers called on representatives of the business community to intensify their efforts to create joint high-tech industries, expand cooperation for the production of products in demand and the development of new markets.

The readiness of the government was expressed to support foreign investors and entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan and create all the necessary conditions for their comfortable work.

After the ceremony, the heads of delegations walked around the exhibition, during which the largest manufacturers of a number of participating countries were able to present their products, share plans for the development of production and the implementation of new joint projects.
