Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The construction of a new main gas pipeline to improve gas supply to the Ferghana Valley has begun.
A new 95-kilometer Yangiyer-Akhangaran gas pipeline is being built as part of the program to modernize and improve the efficiency of the main gas transmission system.
More than 47 kilometers of pipes with a diameter of 1220 mm have been delivered to the construction site, where 6 kilometers of pipeline had been already installed.
The new main gas pipeline is set to go into service in the third quarter of 2023.
The Yangiyer-Akhangaran gas pipeline will significantly improve gas supply to the Ferghana Valley regions
