New leadership elected in three sports federations and associations in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Extraordinary electoral conferences were held at the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan for three sports federations and associations, during which new leadership was elected.
The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee.
At the Athletics Federation of Uzbekistan conference, Akmalkhodja Mavlonov, the Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan, was elected as the president. His deputies were Otabek Choriev, Andrey Abduvaliev, and Kamoliddin Usmanov. Kamoliddin Rozmukhamedov was appointed as the Federation’s General Secretary.
Alyshar Mirsoatov, Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of Uzbekistan, was elected president of the Uzbekistan Winter Sports Association.
Given that Alyshar Mirsoatov took on the role of president of the Winter Sports Association, Botir Rakhimov, a businessman and long-time president of FC Pakhtakor, was nominated for the position of president of the Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan. His candidacy was unanimously supported.
Additionally, new versions of the charters for these organizations were approved at the conferences.
