The new Japanese ambassador to Uzbekistan, Tsutomu Hiraoka, presented his credentials to Uzbek President Islam Karimov at the Oqsaroy presidential residence on 17 November.
Having received credentials from Tsutomu Hiraoka, who has been appointed Japanese ambassador to Uzbekistan, the Uzbek President congratulated him on the appointment to the honoured and important post, and wished him every success in his work in our country.
In turn, Tsutomu Hiraoka said he would contribute to further developing relations between the two countries.
During the talks at the Oqsaroy residence, the sides exchanged opinions on the present state of and prospects for future cooperation between the two countries.
The new Japanese envoy thanked the president for warm reception. He said he is happy to make contribution to development of cooperation between Japan and Uzbekistan.
