Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new customs terminal is set to open in Karakalpakstan, according to the Uzbekistan Customs Committee.
The terminal will be located at the "Davut-Ota" border crossing and is nearing completion.
Covering an area of six hectares, the terminal will be situated on the border with Kazakhstan and is designed to streamline the work of customs, veterinary, and other control services.
The terminal’s opening is expected to coincide with the completion of the 240-kilometer "Kungirot-Beyneu" road, which is anticipated to significantly boost the efficiency of foreign economic activity at the "Davut-Ota" post.
