New Chairman of the Golf Federation of Uzbekistan elected

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An extraordinary conference of the Golf Federation of Uzbekistan was held at the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan today. 

The event was attended by NOC President Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, Honorary Chairman of the Golf Federation of Uzbekistan Fedor Kim, Heads of Federations and Associations for Olympic Sports. The event was hosted by the Secretary General of the NOC of Uzbekistan, Oybek Kasymov.

At the beginning, the applications for the resignation of the current head of the federation, Abdulhamid Latifjonov, and four deputy heads were considered. Then the elections of the new Chairman of the Federation, his deputies, as well as the formation of the composition of the Presidium took place.

Oybek Kasymov nominated Dilshod Tokhirov for the post of Chairman of the Golf Federation of Uzbekistan. The conference participants unanimously supported his candidacy, and Dilshod Nosirjanovich became the new Chairman of the Golf Federation of Uzbekistan. Parpiev Bobur Botirovich was elected first deputy chairman of the federation, Ugai Alexander Fedorovich and Mirzakarimov Sardor Anvarovich took the post of vice-chairmen.

“I am very grateful for the trust placed in me. I promise that I will try to do my best in my new position. We will work together with the new team and further popularize golf in our country in order to raise it to a new level,” Dilshod Tohirov said.

During the event, the President of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and the Vice-President of the organization, the First Deputy Chairman of the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan Saken Polatov made speeches wishing success to the new leadership.

Thus, the results of the extraordinary reporting-selective conference of the Golf Federation of Uzbekistan were summed up.
