New beer plant to be commissioned in Uzbekistan in 2011
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Mehnat agrofirm will launch new plant on production of beer in Andijan district of Uzbekistan in September 2011.

The cost of the project is US$15 million. The designed capacity of the plant will make up 3 million decaliters a year. Denmark’s Holvrieka AS will supply equipment to the plant.

The project will be financed due to loan of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for 6.3 million euros and own funds of Mehnat.

In the second phace, the enterprise is planning to launch production of soft drinks.

Mehnat agrofirm is largest producer of wine in Uzbekistan. The enterprise also manufactures beer, mineral water and juices.
