Ambassador handed over copies of credentials, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.

The sides exchanged opinion on practical implementation of agreements, reached during official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov to Azerbaijan in October 2012.

It was noted that the Uzbek-Azerbaijani dialogue is developing successfully in all directions. Currently, over 100 bilateral agreements were signed between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

The sides also considered issues of deepening trade-economic, investment, transport-communication relations, increasing the volume and diversification of mutual trade turnover.

At the meeting, the sides considered issues of mutual beneficial cooperation within international organizations.
