Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 March, the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan Karomiddin Gadoev presented his credentials to the King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim at the Istana Negara Palace in Kuala Lumpur, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the conversation that took place after the official ceremony, the state and prospects for further development of multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Malaysia were discussed.

The King of Malaysia expressed his high respect and sincere wishes to the President of Uzbekistan, wished the leadership and people of our country all the best, peace, development and prosperity.

It was noted that Uzbekistan is perceived in Malaysia as a reliable fraternal country, and the current warm and friendly relations with the republic are highly valued.

It was noted that the two countries are brought together by historical ties, common religion and spiritual values. It is highly appreciated that the dialogue at the highest level has been gaining momentum in recent years. It was hoped that in the future bilateral relations will expand in all areas.

At the end of the conversation, the King of Malaysia wished the Ambassador of Uzbekistan success in strengthening bilateral relations.

New Ambassador of Uzbekistan Karomiddin Gadoev arrived in Kuala Lumpur on 30 November 2023. Before that, he worked as deputy head of the department for cooperation with the UN and other international political organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
