Uzbekistan 30/11/2007 New agreement to boost Uzbek military ties - Russian deputy PM
"Speaking of the signed agreements, I would emphasize the agreement on protecting intellectual property," the first deputy prime minister said after a session of the Uzbek-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. "It is crucial, because it opens up wider prospects for military and technical cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan," he said.

"When each of the sides knows that the results of work are protected by the state and an intergovernmental agreement, they exchange this information more willingly," Ivanov explained.

The first deputy prime minister also noted that the other documents that were signed today, in particular an agreement on the integration of the UAC, Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation and the Tashkent Aviation Construction Production Association named after Chkalov (TAPOiCh), and a protocol on exchanging information between the two countries’ customs agencies, were also important for cooperation between the two countries.
