Net sales of Coscom increases by 50.1% in Jan-Mar 2010

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Net sales of Coscom, the second largest mobile operator in Uzbekistan, increased by 50.1% to SEK 334 million (US$46.546 million) in the first quarter of 2010, the Swedish-Finnish telecom operator, TeliaSonera, financial statements said on Tuesday.

TeliaSonera said the growth of net income of Coscom, which renders service under UCell brand, was the largest in the Eurasian operations of the company. The company added price increases were introduced in Uzbekistan in mid-March.

It added that the growth was strongest in Uzbekistan with a rise of 2.0 million subscriptions to 5.1 million. According to the company, MOU increased from 244 minutes per month in the first quarter of 2009 to 290 minutes per months in the same period of 2010.
