Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 October 2022, negotiations were held at the Ministry of Energy with a delegation of Golden Horizon Exploration Inc (Canada) and TransAtlantic Petroleum (Turkey).

The meeting was attended by Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Jasur Mirzamakhmudov, President of Golden Horizon Vihak Barry, Vice President of TransAtlantic Petroleum Selami Uras and others.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the possibility of accelerating the implementation of the project aimed at improving the production capacities of 5 gas fields Dayakhatin, Kulbeshkak, Khodjikazgan, Savatli and Jeyhun through their 3D / 4D seismic survey, the introduction of pressure maintenance technologies and other areas.

It was noted that TransAtlantic Petroleum was established in 1980 as a private energy company and specializes in the exploration, development and optimization of oil and gas fields.

The portfolio of the Golden Horizon (founded in 1987) includes projects aimed, in particular, at drilling and developing surface gas fields in the Thracian Basin northwest of Istanbul, Turkey, the development of fields by the Norwegian Statoil (Equinor), 3D seismic exploration of deposits in the Netherlands, Austria and France.

As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on the establishment of a working group to prepare commercial conditions for the further implementation of the project with its subsequent approval in the prescribed manner.
