On 11 September, the delegation of Japanese corporation held negotiations at the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communication of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan and NEC have been fruitfully cooperating for a long time and the Japanese corporation contributed to development and digitalization of telecommunication network and TV and radio broadcasting in Uzbekistan.

The sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of telecommunications and information technologies. In particular, the sides exchanged views on practical aspects of the current project to develop a network of terrestrial digital broadcasting in Uzbekistan, as well as the elaboration of new projects with the support of Japanese financial institutions.

Particular importance was given to the partnership in the field of training in the ICT field. The Japanese side expressed interest in cooperation with Tashkent University of Information Technology and other educational centers of the industry to support the training of qualified personnel on the basis of the study and development of modern technologies.

The delegation of NEC Corporation within the framework of the visit to Tashkent, also visited Tashkent University of Information Technology and the Center for Development of Telecommunications and staff of Uzbektelecom.
