NBU to join MasterCard
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity (NBU) is planning to join to MasterCard payment association as a principle member, the website of the bank reported quoting head of Directorate of banking cards of the Department of money circulation of the bank Alexei Maximov.
He said that the bank adopted decision to joint international payment association MasterCard as yje principle member.
He noted that Single National Processing Center, which uses SmartVista software, will serve as technological platform.
Currently, only Asaka Bank and Orient Finans Bank are issuing and serving cards of MasterCard in Uzbekistan. Other banks work with Visa system, including NBU.
