NBU joins CONTACT money transfer system
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Money transfer system CONTACT and National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Relations started to cooperate in rendering money transfer services.
The system said that its clients can send and receive money via CONTACT at 95 branches and mini-banks of the NBU in 13 regions of Uzbekistan.
Clients of CONTACT in Uzbekistan can send remittances to 100 countries and receive remittances in US dollars or euros. The maximum size of the remittance is set at 10,000 euros or US$10,000.
Svetlana Frolova, Vice President of Russlavbank (operator of CONTACT) said that the cooperation with NBU is important step in developing infrastructure of CONTACT I Uzbekistan and directed at attracting more clients.
NBU is the eighteenth participants of CONTACT system in Uzbekistan. Currently, the system has 1,500 remittance points in 220 cities and settlements of Uzbekistan, she said.
