According to the bank, soon Uzbek trade-service enterprises can realize their products via Internet with use both Visa and MasterCard.

The bank said that it is creating necessary infrastructure and launching acquiring with use of Visa and MasterCards via POS-terminals.

The project is realized on the eve of the session of the leaders of the SCO member states, which will be held in June 2016.

NBU became a principle member of international payment system Visa in 1993. It currently issued 112,000 Visa cards.

As of 1 January 2016, the balance on Visa cards makes up US$15.5 million. Trade turnover of trade and service enterprises with Visa cards reached US$42.8 million.
