NBU and Natixis sign €200 million credit line agreement

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 March, during the Uzbek-French Business Forum in Paris, the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan (NBU) and the French bank Natixis signed an agreement to secure a €200 million credit line.

The funds will be allocated to key investment and infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan, including tourism, transportation, housing, services, and renewable energy. Additionally, they will support the modernization of airports, construction of medical clinics, and development of small and medium-sized businesses, contributing to job creation and income growth, in line with the directives of the President of Uzbekistan.

As part of the 2025 State Investment Program, UzNatsBank aims to attract US$1.2 billion in international credit lines. The agreement with Natixis represents a significant milestone in achieving this target. Notably, the financing is secured without a state guarantee, under coverage from European export credit agencies.

Natixis, a leading corporate and investment bank within the BPCE Group, operates in 30 countries and holds assets worth €472.5 billion. This partnership strengthens Uzbekistan-France economic cooperation, paving the way for future collaboration.
