Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Enterprise Navoiuran and China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation in the uranium industry. This was reported by the press service of the Uzbek company.

A delegation of specialists from the ministry and the enterprise, led by the Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology - General Director of the Navoiyuran State Enterprise D. Faizullaev, took part in the first international forum on the development of the natural uranium industry in Beijing.

During the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan had a meeting with CNNC Vice President Shen Yanfeng. As a result of the meeting, a memorandum of strategic cooperation was signed between the Navoiuran State Enterprise and CNNC.

The parties exchanged views on the implementation of other investment projects related to the uranium industry.

Representatives of the ministry and the State Enterprise Navoiuran got acquainted with the activities of underground ore mining at a hydrothermal uranium deposit and heap processing of uranium-containing ores.

The delegation also visited a mine for transferring uranium into solution underground, equipped with modern digital technologies that minimize the participation of workers in the technological process.
