Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Navoi, 405 people who visited a pornographic site became victims of a scammer. This was reported by the TV show “Markazi Studio”.

It turned out that a 31-year-old citizen of Ukraine published on the website that the victims visited a notice on behalf of the Center for Combating Cybercrime under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The message stated that the user was blocked in accordance with the legislation of Uzbekistan.

Citizens received the following notification:

“For unblocking, you must pay a fine of 350 thousand soums to a state bank card,” the website said.

Citizens transferred funds to the attacker’s bank card. The fraudster changed the card number several times. At the same time, he used the bank information of his friends.

Within 5 days, the victims paid the scammer 142 million soums.

Law enforcement agencies identified the scammer. A pre-investigation check is being carried out.
