Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekneftegaz aims to create multi-stage value chains from local raw materials to finished products based on new production facilities through organic synthesis and nanotechnology.

To achieve this goal, there are natural gas reserves, oil and gas processing capacities, as well as a gas transmission network that allows gradually reducing their export as a raw material through the organization of deep processing of natural gas resources in the country.

Today, polyethylene and polypropylene products are produced by two large gas chemical complexes owned by the joint-stock company: the Ustyurt gas chemical complex and the Shurtan gas chemical complex.

According to the Department of Trade of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, in January-December 2021, 115% more polymer products were supplied to consumers of the domestic market than planned, and in January-October 2022, 131% more.

The export of polyethylene produced by the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex, polypropylene products produced by JV Uz-Kor Gas Chemical LLC has been completely suspended, all volumes are sold on the domestic market through exchange trading.

In accordance with the planned schedule approved by Uzbekneftegaz JSC, in November-December of the current year, the Shurtan gas chemical complex produced 21.4 thousand tons of polyethylene products, it is planned to sell 7.9 thousand tons from the JV Uz-Kor Gas Chemical LLC polyethylene products, 7.4 thousand tons of polypropylene products, a total of 43.4 thousand tons of polymer products (which is 124% more than the main established plan).

Also, by the end of this year, the Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex will produce 122.0 thousand tons of polyethylene products, JV Uz-KOR Gas Chemical LLC - 42.0 thousand tons of polyethylene products, 81.0 thousand tons of polypropylene products. In total, 245.0 thousand tons of polymer products are expected to be supplied to consumers (which is 117% more than according to the main established plan).
