National stand of Uzbekistan presented at Utazas-Tourism Exhibition-2019

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A national stand of Uzbekistan was presented at the international tourism fair Utazas-Tourism Exhibition-2019.

This fair has been held annually since 1977 and today is one of the largest international events on outbound and inbound tourism in the region of Central and Eastern Europe.

This year over 400 Hungarian and foreign travel companies, tour operators, hotels and airlines from 30 countries took part in its work. According to the organizers, during the exhibition more than 40 thousand people visited it.

Uzbekistan was represented at the event by one of the largest Hungarian travel companies, 1000-UT (1000 roads), offering tours to Uzbekistan and other CIS countries. Its colorful stand informed the participants and visitors of the fair about the tourist potential of Uzbekistan, historical and cultural attractions of the republic. It also provided information on modern hotels, recreation areas, tourist complexes, various areas of tourism - environmental, health and recreation, folklore, ethnographic, historical, architectural, cultural and educational, and others.

Everyone was able to get here information and presentation materials, publications and brochures on the tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

In an interview with the Dunyo news agency, a representative of 1000 Roads in Asia, Peter Schmity welcomed the dynamic development of Uzbekistan and the active modernization of the tourism sector. According to him, the abolition of entry visas to the republic for tourists from most European countries will undoubtedly play an important role in increasing the tourist flow from the European Union.

The manager of the Robinson Tour company, Natalia Sedo, in turn, said that in recent years, as a result of the efforts of the Government of Uzbekistan to modernize existing and create new tourist infrastructure, the country has increasingly attracted European tourists, primarily by the abundance of beautiful architectural structures silk road.

Sedo noted the growing interest of Hungarian tourists to visit the historic cities of Uzbekistan and highlighted the importance of projects implemented in the country, such as the launch of high-speed rail links along the route Tashkent-Samarkand-Bukhara-Tashkent.
