National Security Service seizes 2.85m soums of forged money
NSS arrests counterfeiters in Surkhandarya region
National Security Service of Uzbekistan detained counterfeiters in Surkhandarya regions, Uzbek TV’s Akhborot news programme reported on Tuesday, 14 October.
Jamshid Boltayev and Ural Allaberdiev from Yangikuch makhalla of Denau district of Surkhandarya region counterfeited 1,000 soums banknotes for over 2.85 million soums.
The report said that the coiners could not put counterfeited bills into circulation.
The computer and copying machines, as well as counterfeited bills have been seized as evidence. Investigation is underway.
