National ICT summit to be held on 24 September
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Eleventh Annual National Summit on Information and Communication technologies will be held in Tashkent on 24 September within the Week of Information-Communication Technologies InfoCom-2013.

InfoCom-2013 is the main event in IT-sphere of Uzbekistan, which will include National ICT Summit and ICTExpo-2013 in Tashkent and Jizzkah.

The event will include seminars on improving legislation in ICT sphere, roundtable on development of internet providing. It is also planned to announce the results of internet festival of national domain zone UZ and the winners of software contest BestSoft Challenge.

National ICT summit will be held at the International Business Center. The purpose of ICT Summit is to create a platform to showcase of achievements and opportunities from introduction of ICT in various spheres of life and activity, the trends of information and communication sphere development, as well as stimulating the development of the ICT sector in Uzbekistan and expansion of international cooperation.

It is expected that over 500 delegates from Uzbekistan and other countries will participate at the event and they will discuss ICT in public sector, technologies, developments and solutions, internet and information resources, etc.

The National ICT Summit 2013 is organized by the Committee on Information and Communication Technologies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Information and Analytical Department of Information Systems and Telecommunications of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Committee for Communications, Information and Telecommunication Technologies, Association of IT Enterprises and Organizations of Uzbekistan and the company CIB GROUP.
