National Films Week opens in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- National Films Week “Celebrating Woman…” opened at the Uzbekistan Cinema House on 30 November, which is dedicated to the National Constitution Day of Uzbekistan.

Joint project of Uzbekistan Women’s Committee and UNDP “Legislative and Institutional Capacity Development for Women’s Empowerment in Uzbekistan” organized the event in cooperation with Uzbekkino national agency. The week will be held from 30 November to 5 December and the demonstration of the movies start at 17:00.

The main goal of the event is to demonstrate films, which tell about the opportunities created for women in Uzbekistan during independence years and women’s success stories. Representatives of the ministries, state and non-governmental organizations, mass media and students are invited to the opening ceremony.

During the National Films Week will be demonstrated works, which symbolize women of the 21st century. The heroines of the films are real women, who contributed to development of the country, using opportunities created for them. The heads of enterprises, politicians, entrepreneurs, teachers, doctors, diplomats, members of parliament and representatives of other spheres are among them Within the Week, visitors will have chance to see such films as “Qishloq ayoli”, “Yayra Abdullayeva”, “Enajon”, “Nafosat Olami”, “Chashma”, “Mustaqil Uzbek qizlari”, “Suv Yoqalab”, “Oydinoy”, “Erkak”, which symbolize women in the society and family.
