Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- To improve the power supply to consumers in Syrdarya and Jizzakh regions, the first high-voltage digital substation and power transmission line are being built, the Ministry of Energy said in a statement.

In order to improve the power supply to consumers in Shirin, Yangiyer, Khavas districts of Syrdarya region, Zomin, Zarbdar and Zafarabad districts of Jizzakh region, National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan is building a new substation No. 1 Zafarabad with a voltage of 220 kV.

Also, a 220 kV transmission line with a length of 144 km is being built to this substation. To date, 42% of construction work has been completed.

This project is being implemented on the basis of a presidential decree dated December 28, 2022.
