Nasaf records 7-1 victory overAl Tilal in AFC Cup
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Free-scoring Nasaf once again were among the goals as Nosir Otakuziev’s hat-trick highlighted a 7-1 AFC Cup demolition of Al Tilal at Karshi Central Stadium.

The Uzbeks had beaten Dempo 9-0 in their previous home game in Group A with Ivan Boskovic netting four goals and the Montenegrin was again on the score sheet as he twice found the back of the net.

Artur Gevorkyan and Ilkhom Yunusov scored one each while Al Tilal’s solitary reply came from Lami Itana as Nasaf romped home to their sixth consecutive win and on this evidence, will take some stopping in this year‘s competition.

Nasaf may have had nothing to play for having already secured a first-place finish but they were not lacking for motivation as they put their hapless opponents to the sword.

It began in the second minute when Boskovic opened the scoring following a cross from the right before Gevorkyan doubled the advantage a minute later.

The home side claimed their third goal in the 22nd minute when Otakuziev finished a move started by Yunusov and six minutes later, Boskovic had his second as Nasaf seemed on course to smash their AFC Cup scoring record set against Dempo.

However, Al Tilal gained a small victory when Ethiopian striker Lami Itana found the back of the net to see Nasaf concede their first goal at home in the tournament.

That succeeded in only angering the hosts further and Otakuziev helped himself to two more goals to complete a 15-minute hat-trick as Nasaf went in at the interval with a 6-1 lead.

The second-half, though, turned out to be a more pedestrian affair. Yunusov netted the seventh goal 10 minutes after the break but Al Tilal were spared further humiliation as Nasaf were unable to add to their tally.

Nevertheless, they finish the group stage with a perfect record of six wins from six games having also found the back of the net 30 times and will next welcome Al Faisaly to Karshi in the last 16.
