Having brushed aside Lebanese side Al Ansar at home two weeks ago, Nasaf were looking to carry that form into the clash with an Al Tilal side that had gone down 2-1 to Dempo in Goa last time out.
It was the Uzbeks that made the better start, however, as they went in front after just 13 minutes when Lutfulla Turaev found the back of the net.
Al Tilal could be forgiven for fearing the worst but to their credit, fought back to take the lead in the second period.
First, Lami Geleta pulled the Yemen outfit level in the 50th minute and 12 minutes later, Ruffin Motshumba gave them the lead for the first time and the real hope of collecting their first three points of their 2011 AFC Cup campaign.
It was not to be, however.
Three minutes later, Maksud Karimov got Nasaf back on terms when he beat keeper Amir Haidarah to claim their second goal before Gevkoryan's late intervention handed the Uzbek's all three points and maintained their perfect record in this season's competition.
