Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Agency for Prospective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan will regulate and develop e-commerce and the organization of lotteries. The agency will also regulate bookmaking activities.

This is envisaged by the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan on measures to protect the rights of consumers of digital products (services) and strengthen the fight against offenses committed using digital technologies.

According to the document, the functions of regulating and developing e-commerce, organizing lotteries and regulating bookmaking activities will be transferred to the National Agency for Prospective Projects.

The National Agency for Prospective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan was formed in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 24 July 2017 No. UP-5120 “On measures to introduce a project management system in the Republic of Uzbekistan.”

The National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was transformed into the National Agency for Prospective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
