Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Agency for Prospective Projects of the Republic of Uzbekistan continues work to improve the system for regulating the circulation of crypto-assets.

Thus, an analysis of the activities of service providers in the field of crypto-asset turnover, in particular crypto-exchanges and crypto-shops, showed sufficient profitability of their activities. In this regard, in order to ensure the receipt of additional funds into the state budget, by order of the Director of the Agency from 5 March 2024 No. 17

“On amendments to paragraph 2 of the Regulations on establishing the amount of fees for carrying out activities in the field of circulation of crypto-assets, the procedure for their payment and distribution” changes have been made to the Regulations on establishing the amounts of fees for carrying out activities in the field of circulation of crypto-assets, the procedure for their payment and distribution, envisaging a change in the fees for the crypto exchange (increased from 400 to 740 sizes of basic estimated value) and the crypto store (increased from 20 to 185 sizes of basic estimated value).

It should be noted that the changes being made will allow increasing revenues to the state budget by at least 2 times, while not having a significant negative impact on the financial condition of service providers.

These changes will come into force three months from the date of official publication.
