Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — By the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 24 January 2025, Namangan State Technical University has been established.

The new university was formed by merging the Namangan Institute of Engineering and Technology, the Namangan Institute of Engineering and Construction, and the Namangan Institute of Textile Industry. The university will include an Advanced Engineering School.

Key changes planned for the 2025/2026 academic year include:

• The topics for graduation theses and master's dissertations will be developed based on the real-world challenges of partner enterprises.
• Defense of theses and dissertations will take place directly at partner enterprises.
• Major manufacturing companies will be assigned as industrial partners to the university.

Students enrolled in the merging institutions will continue their studies at Namangan State Technical University and will receive diplomas from the new university starting from the 2024/2025 academic year.
