UzA reported that representatives of Uzbekistan Football Federation, football players and their family, as well as public participated at the opening ceremony.
Narimon Jalolov, chairperson of the council of honourable football players under the Uzbekistan Football Federation, said that some players, who defended honour of the country in various tournaments, passed away.
He said that the museum will honour their memory and raise interest of youth to the football and continue work of their fathers.
The museum presents cups and medals, images about Samarkand football, books about football players, etc.
The members of the families of the football players presented a unique exhibits from their own archives.
