MTS Uzbekistan’s subscriber base grows by 25.3% in 2009

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Number of subscribers of the largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan, MTS Uzbekistan, grew by 25.3% in 2009.

Subscribers’ base of the operator rose from 5.65 million in December 2008 to 7.07 million in the corresponding period of 2009.

MTS Uzbekistan attracted 70,000 subscribers in December. The growth rate of subscribers base in December compared to November 2009 made up 1%.

MTS Uzbekistan (Uzdunrobita) is the largest mobile operator of Uzbekistan. From August 2004, it is part of Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems OJSC.
