Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems, largest mobile communication operator in Russia and the CIS states, said that the subscriber base of the company grew by 2.5% or 220,000 users compared to December 2010.

Number of subscribers of MTS-Uzbekistan increased by 25.2% or 1.81 million users compared to the same period of 2010.

Consolidated number of subscribers of Mobile TeleSystems OJSC made up 103.6 million users as of 31 January 2011. In January 2011, the consolidated subscriber base of MTS grew by 262,000 users.

MTS-Uzbekistan (Uzdunrobita) is one of the largest mobile operators in Uzbekistan. From August 2004, the operator enters to structure of Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (Russia).
