MTS Uzbekistan expands 3G, GPRS roaming in May
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- MTS Uzbekistan, largest mobile communication operator of Uzbekistan, significantly broadened list of roaming partners in May 2010.

In May 2010, the company launched 3G-roaming at the networks of the six operators – Base (Belgium), Asrelit (Ukraine), Vodafone (Iceland), VIBO (Taiwan), KT Corporation (South Korea), Bite (Latvia). It is worth to mention that MTS Uzbekistan subscribers can transfer data at the speed of 3.6 megabit per second at the 3G network.

Currently, subscribers of MTS Uzbekistan with UMTS handsets can use 3G roaming service at the networks of 72 operators in 45 countries.

MTS Uzbekistan launched GPRS roaming at the networks of seven operators - Telefonica (Mexica), AXIS (Indonesia), Tigo (Ghana), T-Mobile (Montenegro), Telstra (Australia), Bite (Latvia), Bite (Lithuania). The number of GPRS-roaming partners reached 135 in 85 cuntries.

The operator reminded that its subscribers can also use voice international roaming in the networks of 329 operators in 173 countries.
